Resume
Here you will see my resume and a sample cover letter. This is to show not only my credentials but techniques I have learned in this capstone to enhance my resume format. My resume underwent many a transition, and this is my final product. It will change with time, but for now, that is what I have to show.

Cover Letter
Dear Mr. Dishong,
I am thrilled to apply for the communications position at Make-A-Wish Foundation. As a senior at the University of Denver majoring in communications with minors in leadership and writing practices, coupled with my passion for organizations dedicated to social good, I am confident in my ability to excel in this role and make a meaningful contribution to your team.

My academic journey in communications, complemented by anecdotal experiences in writing during college and professional endeavors, has equipped me with a diverse skill set essential for serving and supporting Make-A-Wish’s mission. In my most recent role as a Tour Guide at the University of Denver, I refined my communication skills through verbal rhetoric and professional correspondence via emails. Additionally, my experience as a teaching assistant at Churchill Center and School, working closely with high-potential children with learning disabilities, has honed my ability to adapt communication strategies and foster interpersonal connections. Furthermore, my involvement in donor interactions and participation in board meetings provided me with valuable insights into the operations of a non-profit organization.

I am drawn to Make-A-Wish’s commitment to providing genuine, respectful support to children facing challenging circumstances. The opportunity to contribute to such a noble cause is both an honor and a privilege. I am particularly excited about the chance to apply my skills and enthusiasm to assist Make-A-Wish in achieving its mission.

Thank you for considering my application. I am eager to bring my passion for communication and dedication to social good to the communications intern role at Make-A-Wish Foundation. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your team and further discussing how my experiences align with the needs of your organization.
Sincerely,
Kate Courtney
